Honey Chile Flake Charred Green Beans

When a recipe calls for 4 ingredients - I think that means it's going to be easy. Don't worry, just because its easy doesn't mean it doesn't have flavor.


This dish is FULL of flavor. I love using fresh crunchy string beans + sauteed in a hot pan - they keep their texture + bite while being coated in the honey + pepper flakes!

Honey Chile Flake Charred Green Beans


1 teaspoon cooking oil (I used coconut oil)

1/2 - 1 lb fresh green beans, ends trimmed + cleaned

1/3 cup honey

1 teaspoon red pepper chili flakes

1 pinch of sea salt


Using a heavy duty pan (like a cast iron skillet), heat the oil over high heat. When the pan is smoking hot, add in the green beans. Stir occasionally for 4-6 minutes or until the beans start to char + wilt slightly. Remove from the heat.


While the pan is still hot, drizzle in the honey, chili flakes + sea salt. Toss the beans to combine + coat.


Serve right away!
